Our Staff

Purdy Electric Inc. employs quality, experienced people to serve your electrical, low voltage and Energy Management needs. 

John Purdy, president, has over 25 years of experience in electrical design and installation. He holds State of Ohio certification and all municipal licenses in the greater Columbus area. Currently, John is serving on the Board of Directors of the trade association Independent Electrical Contractors/Associated Electrical Contractors of Central Ohio (AEC/IEC).

Jim Davis is senior estimator/project manager at Purdy Electric Inc. He has more than 30 years of experience in this field. Jim specializes in the design-build areas of electrical installation and enjoys being a vital part of both new projects and renovations. He is a great team player, coordinating projects from blue prints to occupancy.

Sharon Purdy, the Secretary/Treasurer at Purdy Electric Inc., has served in the family owned firm since its 1976 founding. She is a Summa-Cum Laude graduate of Franklin University, with a degree in business management. Sharon recently served on the Board of Directors of the Central Ohio Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). ABC is a national trade organization representing merit shops across America.

Aaron Purdy is the link between the field and office personnel. He schedules the Purdy Electric work force and goes the extra mile to insure that all of our customer's needs are met. Aaron also schedules service calls, both residential and commercial.

The office staff works with our highly experienced and competent field electricians to bring the finest electrical package to our customers. This integration and teamwork is the basis of our performance oriented company. Here are some of our standouts:

• John Bryson - Has been with Purdy Electric since 1985 and has over 23 years of experience. J.B. has been involved in many projects, from shopping malls to service calls, more recently working in retail tenant spaces.

• Rob Maxey - Has been with Purdy Electric since 1991 and has over 16 years of experience. Rob specializes in restaurants with impossible schedules. 

• Phil Martin - Has been with Purdy Electric since 1988 and has over 19 years of experience. Phil tends to work on larger projects, from underground to finish.  

• Kevin Ryan-Has been with Purdy Electric since 1986 and has over 19 years of experience. Kevin is an excellent commercial electrician and also has worked on restaurant facilities.
